HoundDog is an app that streamlines and automates business insurance verification and tracking, which protects businesses while saving them money.
Coming from the insurance industry, as well as working with businesses that verify insurance, we’ve constantly encountered businesses bemoaning the complicated and expensive process of collecting, verifying and tracking COIs for their vendors. We feel that there is a better way to automate the whole process, and in doing so, unlocking massive value both from businesses and through the mountain of data present in COIs.
HoundDog is useful for anyone who needs to validate or track business insurance. This includes our ‘core’ customers such as those in the construction and property management space, but extends out as far as all US homeowners who may want to verify insurance before hiring service providers.
While we have a few competitors, we’ve yet to run into a single potential customer who has heard of any of them. Beyond that, most of our competitors are priced too high compared to the human-based manual solutions businesses are currently using.
The co-founders have years of experience operating in the insurance industry, as well as running SaaS based businesses. This project falls directly into the core of our expertise, and we already have the connections in place to grow the business rapidly.
We believe HoundDog can capture a huge segment of the COI tracking market, as well as unlock novel revenue streams via monetizing the untapped potential of interactions with uninsured and underinsured businesses.
