Business Development Representative

HoundDog is seeking a highly driven Business Development Representative who has a track record of successfully generating new sales opportunities through outbound lead generation. This position involves proactively engaging with target companies to drive new qualified leads, demos and meetings for the sales team.

About this position

HoundDog is a venture capital funded B2B SaaS company in the Fintech/InsurTech space. Contractors, property managers, trucking companies and many other industries must track down proof of insurance, W-9’s, and other documents for the subcontractors and vendors they hire. We help businesses streamline the insurance tracking and vendor onboarding process by using automation from start to finish. What is typically a manual process, HoundDog is able to automate saving our clients significant time and hassle.

The ideal candidate for our Business Development Representative role has a work-hard approach to life and a passion for delivering results. You are able to identify and generate opportunities and educate prospective customers why HoundDog has such an amazing SaaS solution to insurance tracking and vendor onboarding-- all working closely with the sales team leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • use outbound sales techniques to create demo appointments and generate sales
  • provide HoundDog app demos in person and via Zooms
  • convert inbound leads we receive into new clients
  • help onboard new clients to make sure success for our new clients begins from day 1
  • provide customer support as necessary
